Hervey Bay City Bridge Club was formed in 1990. However, The Club did
not purchase or move into the present building until 1996.
Our Club rooms, situated at 17 Cypress Street, Torquay, have been
altered since purchase, to provide better amenities for our members. The
comfortable, air-conditioned rooms allow us to enjoy our bridge in a
relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Membership includes several interstate players who make Hervey Bay, The
Whale Watching Capital of Australia, their destination for annual
vacations, particularly in the winter months.
Some of the features of our Club are:
- Sessions last approximately 3.5 hours.
- QBA Accredited Tournament Directors.
- Five (5) sessions per week, including a Novice Session
- We adopt Zero tolerance of unacceptable behaviour.
- Each year we conduct a Congress in both May and October in addition to Zonal Events and our usual Club Events.
- On-going Bridge Lessons are available and provided for all levels of play.
- We always endeavour to find a partner for visitors to our Club.
- Visitors are made most welcome.
